Feedback

This is some feedback from our trip to Vietnam.

* Ms Luu Vo - excellent, very keen to help and accommodate us.

* HCMC tour & Mekong Delta - excellent. Tam was a very good guide and is obviously proud of his country and its heritage. Our driver/s were also excellent.

* Hue and Hoi An - our guide Lam, was a very nice person, but his pronounciaton of English was poor and he was difficult to understand. Content of the tour was good and driver was excellent.

* Hanoi - Accommodation was the poorest of our tour, but it was only for one night and it was almost like living in a tube house. Our guide, Long, was excellent.

* All transfers were very good and flights with Vietnam Air was excellent.

* Lunches - they were very good. Two were much the same (Elephant ear fish) and they were both in the Mekong, but they were all of a high standard.

* Cu Chi tour - for my wife, this was a highlight and it was everything she could have wished for because she teaches Vietnamese history.

We were very happy with your service and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to other travellers.

Sincerely

Andy & Jane Pitt

The tour was above our expectations

We, the group of 6, started our tour in Hanoi on January 3, 2008. We had chosen the authentic Vietnam tour -16 days/15 nights, however, excluded Lao Cai and Sapa because of cold weather there. Instead we prolonged our stay in Nha Trang where the weather forecast promised sunshine and heat. We stayed in 4* hotels and were pleasantly surprised by much higher quality of services in comparison to European 4* hotels. Asia Paradise hotel in Nha Trang, where we had been offered senior deluxe rooms because our 4* hotel was fully booked for those days, was the greatest discovery as we had not seen such excellent 3* accomodation anywhere else.

The tour guides -we had 4 guides in different cities - spoke good English, were always punctual and efficient and provided us with much valuable new information on Vietnamese culture and history. We were fascinated by Halong bay trip - the nature was amazing, the rooms were convenient and the food was varied and delicious. If we had been sure about the weather in Halong bay, we would have stayed on boat 2 nights instead of the one. We found the floating market in Mekong delta- a must to see-very impressive. The war museum made a shocking impression on us. Our flight from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh city was delayed because of the weather so the travel agency took the decision to get us there by coach saving us half of the next tour day in Ho Chi Minh city.

We have not seen the tribes in the North, have not been to Dalat and stayed too few days in Ho Chi Minh city this time. We hope to return to Vietnam next year to see these sites. We have previously been to Thailand, south of China, Cambodia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia and we make comparisons but the tour to Vietnam has exceeded all the expectations.

In the name of the whole group I would like to thank Mr. Dzung Trinh and Ms Nhu Y for their efforts to organise the best available vacation and we would undoubtedly recommend this travel agency to friends.

I would like to thank you for organising our wonderful trip to Vietnam in July 2006. Your guides and drivers were superb and the service you provided was excellent. We feel so lucky to have spent time in your country and have seen so many marvelous sights that will stay in our hearts for ever. Your company offers excellent service and I recommend anyone thinking of travelling to Vietnam to travel with you. A special thanks to Do our guide in Hanoi for the wonderful experience of Halong Bay.

Thanks

Dear Dzung Trinh

We have returned from our very enjoyable tour of Vietnam and I wanted to thank you for your assistance with our arrangements. All went very smoothly and all the people who helped us were very nice.

The hotels were all good with the exception of Hai Phong Hotel which was not very clean.

We changed to the Hoi An Beach Resort (instead of the Glory Hotel) before leaving HCMC and we really enjoyed that.

Thank you again for your help. I will recommend you to my friends.

Kind Regards

Anna Connery

Feedback on Mekong Delta Tour

My daughter and I joined a tour of the Mekong delta aboard the Le Cochinchine during the early part of June.

We very much enjoyed the trip, the accomodation on board was very good (we appreaciated the air conditioning!)

Overall, it was a fantastic expereince which was well organised and executed. I would not hesitate to use your services again.

Thank you to Kim Cuong

Dear TNK Travel,

This note is to thank you for the wonderful services you provided on our recent visit to Vietnam.

We especially want to thank Ms. Kim Cuong. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We were very happy with the itinerary she prepared for us. She helped us get a flight back to the U.S., even though it was not part of her job, and we appreciate that. The other people in your office were very good, too.

Please let Ms. Kim Cuong know that we were happy that she could help us, and that we would recommend TNK Travel to anyone who will be coming to visit Vietnam.

Sincerely,
Karen Isobel Podolsky and Joan Renee Sinclair

Laos Travel Tour HotelDay 1: Arrival - Vientiane

On arrival in the Laos capital of Vientiane, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences. After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Enroute to Lao's national icon, the precious and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is known as Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. The Mekong river side is the perfect place to end the day and admire the sunset. Overnight in Vientiane

Day 2: Vientiane - Luang Prabang ( B )

Laos Travel HotelToday, we transfer to the airport for the short flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. After checking into your hotel, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai, we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as have a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the local people and hill tribes surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Khouangsi Waterfalls ( B )

Laos Travel HotelAn optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. After breakfast, we'll visit the former Royal Palace, now a National Museum (closed Tuesdays) where you will find ornate, gilded and brocaded reception rooms, as well as artefacts including the Prabang, a large holy image, which was given in the 14th century by the Khmers to King Fa Ngum. We also have time to explore the Central Market, before we drive to visit the Hmong hill tribe at Ban Nam Ouay, and also Ban Ou, a village famous for its cotton production. We then spend the remainder of the day at the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls, where the water tumbles 60 meters over multi tiered limestone formations into a cool and clear pool, this makes a refreshing escape for when the heat becomes unbearable. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Laos Travel HotelDay 4: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Pakbeng ( B , L , D )

Heading out of the town, we take a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make local rice wine. We then continue our boat trip to the atmospheric riverside town of Pakbeng. The Mekong was once the only major transport route in the country, Pakbeng, being the halfway point on the Mekong River between Luang Prabang and Houei Say, developed as an overnight stop for many traders traveling along the river. This scenic and authentic river cruise has been described as a once in a lifetime experience. We will reside in Pakbeng overnight

Laos Travel HotelDay 5: Pakbeng – Houei Say ( B , L )

After breakfast, we will visit the local market where many hill tribe people converge from the outlying valleys and hillsides to sell their goods and buy provisions. Upon leaving Pakbeng, we re-embark on our boat for the second leg of our journey toward Houei Say, which is close to the famous Golden Triangle. The cruise is long, but the unequalled, tranquil river scenery will make this an interesting day. Overnight in Houei Say

Day 6: Houei Say - Thailand ( B )

The surrounding areas of Houei Say are home to 34 ethnic minority groups, the second most ethnically diverse province in Laos. After an enjoyable visit to the Lu hill tribe people at Ban Namkeung, we take a short drive to the border gate for Chiang Khong, Thailand. The tour ends at the Lao-Thai border
